The following rules apply when you want to enter Japan Visa-Free:
- Depending on your passport (i.e., country of issue), the maximum visa-free stay duration in Japan is 15 days, 30 days, or 90 days.
- No paid employment or work for a Japanese company is allowed during your Visa-Free stay in Japan.
- The Visa-Free exemption applies to tourism, business trips, visiting friends/family, or short-term cultural activities.
- Your passport must be undamaged and valid for at least six months from the date you exit Japan.
- Your passport must be valid during the stay.
- At least one blank passport page for an entry stamp.
- A return or onward ticket from Japan.
- Proof you can financially support yourself while traveling in Japan.
- Proof of the purpose of your stay, e.g., accommodation or tour bookings.
- Travelers from countries not listed below must obtain a visa before entering Japan.
